Installing the extension

Setup

Fast Mail Tracker lives in your browser as a lightweight extension. Installing it takes a moment, and this article walks through it step by step, plus what to check if something doesn't appear as expected.

Install and pin

  • Add Fast Mail Tracker from your browser's extension store and allow the standard permissions when asked.
  • Pin the extension so its icon sits beside your address bar. That's your quick access to settings and your tracked-email list.
  • Reload any open Gmail tab so the extension can attach to it.

Connect your Gmail

Open Gmail and you'll be asked to sign in to Fast Mail Tracker with the same Google account. This grants the extension permission to attach tracking to messages you send. You can review or revoke this access from your Google account settings at any time.

Confirm it's working

Compose a new email and look for the signal marker near the send button. That confirms tracking is active. Send a test message to yourself, open it, and watch the marker turn to a red eye. If you see the ramp move, you're fully set up.

If the icon doesn't appear

  • Make sure the extension is enabled in your browser's extension list.
  • Reload the Gmail tab. The extension attaches on page load.
  • Confirm you signed in with the same account Gmail is open under.
